Patient Details

This patient, a wonderful mother of two in her late 40s, visited our office in Frisco, Texas, hoping to enhance her abdominal shape. She chose an extended abdominoplasty as part of a complete makeover to tackle the excess skin, weakened muscles, and stubborn fat that had been a challenge to lose, even with diet and exercise. Pregnancy and the natural aging process had stretched her abdominal wall and caused the rectus muscles to separate (also known rectus diastasis), leading to a loss of core support and a less defined abdomen.

Her procedure involved an extended tummy tuck, along with liposuction of the abdomen and flanks, to give her a more defined waist and a smoother, more balanced look from the torso down. Plus, rectus plication was performed to fix the separation of her abdominal muscles and bring back a firmer, flatter appearance. The longer incision also helped shape her sides and hips.

Her postoperative results demonstrate a flatter abdomen, improved waist definition, enhanced body proportions, and a more toned, rejuvenated silhouette that complements the remainder of her makeover procedure.

Individual results may vary.
