Case-1887 Case-1887
This patient, a 36 year-old mother of one, presented with symptomatic macromastia affecting her daily function and quality of life. She suffered from years of chronic neck, shoulder, and back pain, along with shoulder grooving, all common complaints of those who suffer from physical burden of excess breast volume.
She underwent a breast reduction using a Wise pattern skin incision with an inferior pedicle technique. Over 1000 grams of tissue was removed from each breast, allowing for both meaningful volume reduction and improved shape.
Postoperatively, the patient experienced significant relief of her neck, shoulder, and back discomfort, with improved ease in daily activities. A more balanced, proportional breast size was achieved, along with enhanced contour and lift, resulting in a more youthful and natural breast shape.
She healed uneventfully and is shown here with a stable, symmetric result that reflects both functional improvement and aesthetic refinement
