Case-1886 Case-1886
This 24-year-old patient presented to our office with symptoms of large breasts that were starting to affect her day-to-day life. She had been dealing with ongoing neck, shoulder, and back pain, along with noticeable shoulder grooving from bra straps, all of which are common symptoms in patients with macromastia.
She underwent a breast reduction using a Wise pattern (anchor-style) incision and an inferior pedicle technique. Over 1100 grams of breast tissue was removed from each breast, allowing for a significant reduction in size while still maintaining a natural shape and good support. The procedure and her recovery went smoothly and without any complications.
After surgery, her neck, shoulder, and back pain were gone. Other important benefits after surgery included her ability to exercise without limitation, the ability to shop for a more diverse style of bras, tops, and other clothes, and elevated self-confidence and self-esteem. Her results show a more balanced, proportional breast size with better shape and lift, giving her a natural and refreshed look.
