This 55-year-old woman presented to my office with a desire for body contouring after massive weight loss. She had previously lost over 100 pounds through gastric bypass surgery and had successfully maintained her weight loss for over a year.
Her primary concern was the loose, redundant skin on her arms, legs, and torso. To address this issue, she underwent an uncomplicated brachioplasty to remove the excess skin from her arms.
She was very pleased with the results, which are documented in the photographs taken 7 months after surgery. As the scars mature, they will continue to lighten in color and thin.
