Natural-Looking Breast Augmentation With Circumareolar Lift for Asymmetry | Frisco, Texas

This before-and-after case features a patient in her early 40s who presented to our Frisco plastic surgery practice with significant breast asymmetry. Her left breast was both larger and more ptotic—meaning it sat lower—than her right breast. She wanted a more natural appearance, improved symmetry, and a subtle increase in upper-pole fullness without looking overly augmented.

She underwent an uncomplicated simultaneous, or single-stage, augmentation-mastopexy. Allergan SoftTouch moderate-profile silicone implants were placed beneath the pectoralis muscle using a dual-plane I technique. To help compensate for her pre-existing volume difference, a 295 cc implant was placed on the smaller right side and a 240 cc implant was placed on the larger left side.

A circumareolar mastopexy, sometimes called a periareolar lift, was also performed to improve breast shape and nipple position while limiting the lift incision to the border of the areola.

The different implant sizes were selected intentionally based on her individual anatomy. Combining asymmetric implant volumes with dual-plane placement and a circumareolar lift improved her breast balance while providing the soft, natural appearance and modest upper-pole fullness she requested.
